Jonathan Zilberg

Jonathan Zilberg is a contributing researcher and a regular contributor to the Leonardo reviews. He specializes in museum anthropology and experimental ethnographic approaches to documenting popular culture so as to record the flows of sounds and images during field research towards making such data accessible for comparative research by academics, artists and the public at large. Beyond his inter-disciplinary work on bridging anthropology and history, art and science, and his work in public anthropology and civil society, he has a special interest in using art as a form of heightened engagement in ethnography. He conducts field and archival research in diverse contexts including Asia, Africa and Latin America and the UK, the results of much of which has been published and is available on-line.
