This seminar will address issues of design and interaction as it confronts the tensions between rapidly changing technologies of interaction and an inevitable transformation of cognitive abilities in the older sections of the population. It will argue that a more sophisticated solution for the design of technologies rather than a return to an infantile paradigm is required for the incorporation of emerging technologies of interaction in the design of products.
