This seminar will examine the relation between the instrumental methods that are employed in the quantitative evaluation of the human bodily function and the models of health that inform understandings of quotidian interactions with the body. From this it will draw links between the regimes of instrumentation as they operate to facilitate the production of consensual models of bodily and medical function.
