Michael Punt
This introduction will use as its starting point Michael Punt’s recent article on an exhibition in 1968 at the ICA, London entitled Play Orbit. It argues that the exhibition represented a model of practice research which failed to acknowledge the determining function of the participant in the making of meaning. As such it can be regarded as both the disavowal and harbinger of technologically facilitated interaction as a tactic for engaging with some of the more difficult aspects of consciousness.
