The Transtechnology Research April seminar following the knowledge transfer event “Advertising the Sublime” will reflect upon the findings and key topics of the event in Hilversum and Amsterdam. The diverse and dynamic transdisciplinary community of researchers, through their participation at the KT event, will reflect from the position of their own research topics and expertise, leading to a collection of editorial responses to be published in the post-event brochure. In drawing from the arts, design, film archival and curatorial practice, as well as the anthropology of media, these editorials will add a further dimension to key aspects of concern that drive the KT event, such as the relevance and impact of the road-show event upon pedagogy, cultural heritage, and research funding, as well as their own strategies for knowledge transfer within their own domains.
The publication, in bringing together diverse constituents from academia, professional practice and the general public, in turn, will provide a catalyst for a postgraduate student conference (funded by Plymouth University) to be hosted through Transtechnology Research later in the year.
